The ultimate twisted Christmas Pantomime comes to life in classic Cairns style! A Cairns Christmas Carol is an antipodean interpretation of the Charles Dickens tale penned in 1843. Don your Christmas hats, warm up your carolling voice and 'boo' along until Scrooge gets it right!

A mean-spirited, miserly old man named Ebenezer Scrooge hates Christmas and thinks it is a ridiculous occasion, especially when it’s stinking hot! One Christmas Eve in balmy FNQ, he is visited by three ghosts who help him see the error of his ways.

Scrooge discovers that a little empathy and love for one's community can be cause for celebration anywhere!

Staged in the outdoor amphitheatre of Munro Martin Parklands, A Cairns Christmas Carol is adapted and directed by Rachel Terry of Box Jelly Theatre Co and pulls together local creative professionals with choral work by Cairns Young Voices.
