Spend an evening with ARIA award winning folk rock favourites The Waifs. Celebrate their 25th Anniversary and the release of a new album, Ironbark, in the beautiful botanic backdrop of Munro Martin Parklands.

The Waifs forged their way onto the live circuit in 1992, with hits like London Still, Lighthouse and Bridal Train breaking them into the big time. 2015 saw the release of their seventh album, emotionally raw but musically buoyant, Beautiful You, and they’re not showing signs of slowing down yet. Ironbark, to be released early March, is a tribute to us, their fans, for our involvement in their career and as the very reason they are still playing music together 25 years on.

Much like the album, the concert experience will be a journey through their touring career with sets determined by fan feedback, laced with our stories and sentiments of their music. We know you love this trio Cairns, don’t miss one of the most cherished acts of our generation when they return to the Far North.

The Waifs 25th Anniversary album “Ironbark” comprises 25 songs made up of two discs, the 14 track studio album “Ironbark” and 11 bonus songs, all recorded at the same time at Josh’s home studio, live and acoustic, a truly beautiful collection of heartfelt songs. As long time fans and supporters of The Waifs, the band would love you to have this album at this very discounted rate of $5. It is inclusive of postage and packaging. The physical album will be sent out on March 1st, to be received on album release date March 3rd. Digital albums will be emailed on March 3rd.
