The Cairns Cruise Liner Markets showcase the Cairns region with tourism items and local craft products.

A market featuring local products and souvenirs and staffed by friendly local people is a wonderful way to greet our cruising visitors.

Where: outside the Cruise Ship Terminal on Wharf Street, Cairns

These markets allow visitors disembarking from their cruise ship to find everything the region has to offer in one spot: local produce and gifts such as jewellery, leather goods and souvenirs.

Residents and non-cruising visitors were also welcome to explore the markets.

There will be nearly 50 market stalls, featuring a wide variety of items for sale – many of which are handmade.

The markets will be held in parklands adjacent to the cruise liner terminal.

Cairns Regional Council will manage the markets, which will coincide with the arrival of cruise liners, under an agreement with Ports North.

Cruise season is usually between October and April and the schedule can be found on the Ports North website and the Cairns Markets Facebook page.
