Cairns Rio Festival

The very next night on Saturday 26 Feb, frock up [with mask?] for the Cairns Rio Festival, the local version of the worldıs most famous carnival. The show promises to be spectacular, the culmination of a workshop series for the Cairns Community led by expert tutors in Brazilian dance, costume, fantasy parade development, mask-making and decoration. Join the carnival for an evening of great South American food and entertainment, with the Tanks transformed into a fantasy cultural landscape. Cairns Rio Festival is funded by Arts Queensland and auspiced by Arts Nexus.
