The Impossible Dream

A romantic comedy with music that brings to life Don Quixote, the bumbling chivalrous knight of classical literature, in the guise of sidekick to the real life character of Jose Paronella. Their combined hilarious attempts to woo the stubborn Margarita, with the help of her conniving mother Rosa, eventually prove successful, taking Margarita and Jose on a journey towards a love of each other and the remote wilderness of Far North Queensland. A feast of contemporary women’s world music will celebrate the upcoming International Women’s Day. Featuring Worldly Women with Fatima & Sarajai (Bris), Briscoe Sisters and Emmalyne. Worldly Women is a performance collective that grew out of a CD of beautiful music delivering a uniquely powerful experience of voices, music and cultures.
