A full course participated in the successful 2004 day with a large range of businesses involved in the event. The day consisted of a BBQ lunch, 4 ball Ambrose competition of 18 holes of golf and a presentation evening. On the course were promotional holes to add fun to the day as well as some serious competitions for the regular player. Media exposure on the day was high with the Cairns Post and the local television stations covering the event. Interest in this year's event is expected to be similar.
The event is an excellent opportunity to catch up with business associates and keep informed about regional development. The luncheon always has a guest speaker and presentation, often utilising the Chamber luncheon as a platform to release new information of concern to businesses in the region. Topics: Cairns and its Water Supply: Our Future is in Safe Hands, speaker is Brian Smyth from Cairns Water & Small Business Accelerator Program speaker Darren Cleland from Dept of State Development and Innovation. Members $35.00; Non-members $40.00.
