Sue Fairley and friends are organizing the feast of jazz favourites and evergreen tunes as a fundraiser for TAP to improve palliative care facilities at Atherton District Hospital.
Mrs Fairley said the star attraction of the afternoon would be international singing sensation Wilma Reading from Cairns, a three octave recording star who has worked from Las Vegas to London.
Wilma will be accompanied by Internationally acclaimed organist and pianist, Larry Hammond.
Mrs Fairley said the afternoon would kick off at 2pm with Junior & the Geriatrics from Cairns, featuring Junior See Poy on saxaphone/vocals, Bernie Lee Long on piano and Len Pitt on drums/vocals.
Jazz favourites will be performed by local newly formed group, Werner’s Jazz Mob (sub group of the Hotshots) .
Yungaburra QCWA and locals will bake a delicious afternoon tea and Yungaburra Gem Gallery will provide a raffle prize.
Mrs Fairley said all the performers were donating their services to raise money for much needed local palliative care facilities.

A weekend offering a variety of activities utilising Lake Tinaroo and surrounds, based from Tinaroo township. Events will commence mid-afternoon on the Saturday and conclude at lunchtime on the Sunday.
