This year, National Tree Day, proudly sponsored by Toyota, will be held on Sunday 1 August nation-wide. Co-founded by Olivia Newton-John and Planet Ark in 1996, it has become Australia’s largest community tree-planting event. Last year's event saw more than a million native trees and shrubs planted at over 3,000 sites around the country.
From caring for our coasts and beaches to building a home for native animals, to growing a garden in the grounds of a school, there are endless opportunities and experiences that volunteers can enjoy this National Tree Day.
For more information on how you can get involved, call the National Tree Day Hotline on 1300 88 5000 or visit treeday.planetark.org.
