Cairns Events Let's Do This

Anglers from all over Australia and the world come to Port Douglas to undertake the challenge of fishing for one of the ocean's greatest prizes, the Marlin. The Marlin Coast hosts some of the best Marlin fishing in the world and game boats and crews arrive in Port Douglas to team up with the anglers, all with the anticipation of being the one to catch the 1,000lb competition winner.

The annual Port Douglas Marlin Challenge will run from the 10th of November until the 13th of November 2016.

The Tournament will commence with a Briefing Night at the Port Douglas Marina, Wharf Street, Port Douglas at 1830 on the 9th November 2016.

Fishing will commence on the 10th November once all vessels have departed the Port Douglas Marina. There will be four consecutive days of fishing with the final day of fishing being the 13th November 2016.

On the evening of the 13th November 2016 there will be a Presentation Night.
