Port Douglas Yacht Club Inc, the organizing authority, invites entries to compete in the 2016 Queen's Birthday Destination Race

Rules
The Race will be governed by the rules, as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2013 – 2016, the Prescriptions of Yachting Australia (YA), and the Special Regulations of YA - Addendum A -Category 6, and the Sailing Instructions (SI).

The Course
Passage race with overnight stop at Low Isles and return the following day.

Divisions.
All boats race in one division using the performance handicap system (PHS).

Conditions of entry.
Entries may be made by email or in person by notifying the Rear Commodore of intention to compete.
Each vessel shall have public liability insurance, not less than A$5 million.
By nominating to enter the owner/charterer agrees to be bound by the RRS, Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions.

Sailing Instructions
Sailing Instructions will be issued at the race briefing.
Race briefing 09:00 Saturday 1st October, 2016 at PDYC.

Schedule of Races.
Race 1: Warning signal will be at 10:55 on Saturday 1st October 2016.
Race 2: Warning signal will be at 09:55 on Sunday 2nd October 2016.
The schedule of races may change depending on the forecast conditions.

Prizes
Handicap honours 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Presentation of prizes will follow conclusion of racing at PDYC on Sunday 2nd October.
