The ‘Cultural Festival 2016' will be held over two weekend during Queensland school holiday 16-19th September and 30th September -1st October.

Please do have a look at the following sub event happening over the two week in September - fine dining, dance, music and anything you can imagine for an extraordinary experience.

To start the Festival with there will be world class tango master Fabian Salas and Lola Diaz, who have been in five different movies and tour around the world regularly for performance and workshops. Also working along with Cairns Base Paradise Concert Series and Tango Amour Director Kirtley Leigh playing her violin along the opening, Miloga and tango musicality combined workshop. And passion of music and dance with International/national masters you just do not want to miss.

Then on 30th September-1st Octorber will showcase the rich diversity of talent in Cairns’ arts community, with concerts, dance workshops, social dance, culminating in a gala ball on 1st Oct Saturday night.

The event will raise funds for a newly established institution “The Cultural Centre”.

The founder of the Cultural Centre project, Sunny Ale Music Education Director, Suna Flynn, said “My goal is to unite art in every form and celebrate harmony, with the aim of making this event an annual cultural festival, supporting the local arts community.”

“The Cultural Centre project will be a hub for the arts, providing a workshop space and instruments for the public to lease, and partnering with local schools. I will launch a crowd funding equity share campaign to make this dream a reality. To unite, inspire and help the region prosper,” Ms Flynn said.

“My ultimate aim is to form an arts school linked with universities that is able to assist talented artists and students through scholarships and provide financial support to community cultural organizations.”
